Kunal Rao is a seasoned customer success and go-to-market executive with more than 20 years of global experience building, scaling, and transforming post-sales organizations at hypergrowth technology companies.

He brings deep expertise across customer success, value realization, professional services, and global delivery, with a proven track record of driving customer outcomes, retention, and expansion at leading SaaS companies including CloudZero, Lacework, VMware, and BMC Software.

A customer-obsessed servant leader, Kunal is known for building high-performing, globally distributed teams and aligning customer value with measurable business impact. He combines operational rigor with a strong commercial mindset to deliver sustained net revenue retention, strong renewal performance, and long-term customer advocacy.

Most recently, Kunal served as SVP of Customer Success at CloudZero, where he led the global post-sales organization spanning customer success, support, education, and professional services. He scaled the organization from an early-stage team to a global team across four continents and established a Customer Advisory Board to deepen engagement and accelerate customer value realization.

Kunal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and is passionate about mentoring leaders and building customer-centric cultures.
